Searching & annotating Web services together!
Are you a software engineer/programmer or have experience in programming or software engineering?
THANK YOU! 33 users have tagged
all services with 1566 unique tags. [] You helped me to win the Cross-Evaluation track of the Semantic Service Selection (S3) contest.
Then you problably know that you can build up applications from
Web services simply re-using them and composing into mash-ups
in similar way like you combine classes and other software components.
However, the point is that you must first find the right Web
services. The problem is there are more then 25'000 Web services
online and they are often poorely described.
How can I help? You can help by tagging and classifying Web services in a similar way like you or other people tag photos, pages etc. Just ask for your ID to participate in this experiment and I will give you all the necessary details. And tell your friends about us :-)
How much time does it take? It's completely up to you. You don't have to do it at once, you may come back to the portal as many times as you want.
Why do you do that? This is part of my PhD research, where I'm investigating whether the community information can be useful for discovering Web services. You may find more on this research here. Maciej Gawinecki
